Dom comes from a long line of Rockportians. His family first moved to Rockport in the 1800’s and has a long history of public service. He graduated in 1983 from RFHS where he participated in football, band, and theater.

Dom lives on Key Allegro close to the marina where his father, Tony, served as head cook for much of the 1970s and 1980s.

Dom is married to Laura Dominguez. He has two sons. One is pursuing his doctorate in Marine Biology and the other is currently serving in the Coast Guard. His mother, Alicia, and his sister, Dahlia, live in Rockport and are active in the community. He loves to spend his free time fishing the flats of Aransas Bay with friends and loved ones.

Dom splits his allegiance between burnt orange and maroon. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M, his degree in Pharmacy from UT at Austin, and his MBA from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi.

Dom serves as CEO of CHRISTUS Spohn Health System and is a Senior Vice President of CHRISTUS Health. He is responsible for managing the market portfolio in this region which covers Corpus Christi and the surrounding communities.

Dom is the most experienced and qualified candidate running for ACND Commissioner. He is dedicated to bringing his years of local knowledge, his experience in overseeing large, complicated organizations, and his love for the community to the Aransas County Navigation District.
